Thinking About Social Content Strategy

November 19th, 2009 § 5

What is a Social Content Strategy?

Have ideas, examples, or resources to share?

  • How do you plan your engagement and content strategy so they work together in perfect harmony?
  • What are the specific content co-creation tasks that you need to do? Have a checklist? List of tasks?
  • Do you need a specific campaign or is this an ongoing activity?
  • Is your organization thinking about a social content strategy?
  • What resources would you suggest that shed more light on this topic?

Resources:

Content Creation Strategy for Nonprofits by Kivi Leroux Miller
Content Creates Engagement by Duct Tape Marketing
Social Media Engagement by John Cass
A Simple Presence Framework by Chris Brogan
Taking Content Strategy Personally by Web Worker Daily
The Discipline of Content Strategy by Kristina Halvorson

Thanks for shameously stealing – hope you a few good ideas about social content

ALso, what are you doing down under? Connected with Seb Chan and Eddie harran yet?

  • Morgan Sully says:

Ha! Funny you ask. You might say Eddie was the whole reason I'm here. He basically sent a Tweet to me about an organization here 'that does everything that I do in the States' (nptech for creative/DIY individuals/communities). Lo and behold, when I checked the link he tweeted (and came to CuriousWorks' website) there *happened* to be a new job posting that had *just* gone up for a New Media Educator.

I also fundraised my way over here through a project I had in the works using a fundraising platform he had ALSO invited me to – Kickstarter.

Eddie = intro to Kickstarter + intro to CuriousWorks = Morgan mashing the two up to move out and work in Sydney/the Australian Outback.
