Fresh off the block: CuriousWorks’ new, flagship training course in new media.
Every technique developed over years of working in the field with communities, non-profits and creatives has been condensed into 4, simple training sessions.
By the end of the course you will have an innovative strategy and a bag-full of techniques for leveraging digital media production and the Internet for your cause.
If you want to use new media for good, not for evil, then this is the course for you.
Obama’s doing it. Even Rudd’s doing it. Why can’t you?
Using new media isn’t a burden. It adds value to what you do and is simple and affordable.
Forget all the myths you’ve heard about it.
You don’t need to hire expensive media professionals: give your own staff the know-how instead.
Use film and photography, blogging and online networking, facebook, flickr, youtube, twitter and a host of free, effective digital tools to document, share and market what you do every day.
Tell your story through multimedia and connect with your community.
We run 4 training sessions on loop, with one session per week. The sessions are:
1. Digital Video and Photography
2. Digital Multimedia Production
3. Publishing Your Content on the Internet
4. Digital Media Strategy for Your Organisation
CuriousWorks offers fun, friendly training sessions in creative digital media. These are tailored to the needs of the non-profit and creative industries.
We will teach you a number of simple, effective techniques to integrate digital media into your current activities. Past clients include NGOs, Aboriginal and other Cultural Organisations, schools, councils, key arts and community organisations and youth centres.

“I have worked across the Community Arts and Youth Arts sector for over 7 years using hip hop and theatre to engage and delight communities Nationwide. I am currently the Youth Engagement Officer at Powerhouse Youth Theatre (Fairfield) and I signed up for the New Media Training Course at Curiousworks in order to support my practice. The trainers at Curiousworks make learning easy and give you the quickest and most effective ways of tackling massive projects. For my sector in particular l couldn’t recommend Curiousworks more highly, the understanding coupled with an extraordinary knowledge base and ability to teach puts the organisation at the top of my list. It was totally excellent working with people who not only have a comprehensive approach to digital technologies but who also have a solid understanding of the sector.”
