Our first workshop here was extremely successful. Our purpose is to engage local youth in the area with weekly new media workshops. Our plan for this week was to let young people create short, fun videos. And this they did!
4 young indigenous kids turned up, and created three special effects videos themselves; a time lapse video of the skate-park, a video of somebody being scared by their clone, and another clone video where a football is passed by someone to themselves. They shot it all in the first hour, and spent the second hour learning how to work the footage in Final Cut Pro. More fun than you can shake a fish at.
